Event Summary
The Side Event addressed how to achieve the "virtuous cycle of environmental and economic growth", with particular focus on the importance of business environment improvement with public-private partnership, low carbon technology development and deployment, and green finance mobilization through corporate disclosure of climate-related-information. The event highlighted the the relevant initiatives on the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), as a useful tool to win green finance and enable sustainable growth in the Asia. It also discussed the role of carbon pricing in promoting low carbon transition in emerging countries.
