- We hope to introduce our activities in the field of water through industry-academia-government collaboration since 2007, a Japanese wastewater treatment system installed and operated in Egypt, current problems of desalination and water treatment in countries which are suffering from severe water shortage, and our techniques which will lead to solutions to establish Environmental Friendly and Carbon Neutral Systems.

During the seminar on “Aiming for Environmental Friendly and Carbon Neutral System of Desalination and Water Treatment”, former Japanese ambassador to Egypt, Kaoru Ishikawa spoke about the pollution of the Nile and the successful projects/activities in Egypt for cleaning the irrigation canals through collaboration with the Japanese government and experts. The project manager of Gifu Renewable Energy System Research Center, Dr. Maria R. H. Takeuchi spoke about the causes of the deadlocked water projects in Egypt and leadership to reach an unreachable goal. Dr. Khaled Ali Mohammed Ali of South Valley university of Egypt spoke about the current water problems in Egypt and introduced his research on drinking water. The former Director of Gifu Renewable Energy System Research Center, Yoshinori Itaya spoke about Carbon-Neutral Desalination System. Prof. of Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University, Hideaki Ohgaki spoke about Environment-friendly water treatment by fine bubbles.

- We were requested to deliver the slides to listeners abroad and to organize the same seminar in Japan.
