Seminar abstract

The Joint Crediting Mechanism: JCM is implemented by the Government of Japan with 23 partner countries* based on a Memorandum of Cooperation to promote dissemination of decarbonization technologies and GHG reduction. In addition, the JCM generates various co-benefits as well as GHG mitigation which contribute to sustainable development including SDG in partner countries.
This side event will focus on latest updates of the JCM in light of the conclusion of the Article 6 rules at COP26 and JCM's benefits to promote understanding on the JCM.
