9th JCM Partner Countries' High Level Meeting at COP28

Seminar abstract

Abstract

The meeting will be attended by high-level representatives, including ministers from JCM partner countries. This meeting will confirm that the JCM is steadily contributing to global GHG emission reductions and removals with the formulation of more than 240 decarbonization projects in cooperation with partner countries, which have been further expanded since the 8th meeting. The meeting will also confirm that partner countries and Japan will further strengthen cooperation to operate the JCM consistent with the guidance on cooperative approaches under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.
