- The objective of this event was to express Japan’s appreciation to all G7 members for their cooperation and support in 2023, including at the G7 Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy and Environment held in April in 2023 in Sapporo, and to summarize, as G7 Presidency, efforts in the field of climate, energy and environment by G7 in 2023.
- With this Event, the G7 Presidency was transferred to Italy, the next G7 Presidency. Japan conveyed its expectations for Italy's leadership in promoting various initiatives launched in 2023 in the G7 Ministers’ Communiqué.
- Italy’s Minister of Environment and Energy Security shared with G7 members his hopes and outlook for G7 in 2024
