Seminar abstract

This seminar will promote understanding of Japanese technologies that contribute to mitigation and adaptation, which are measures to address climate change issues.

Firstly, regarding mitigation, an example of a JCM demonstration project conducted by NEDO will be introduced. In addition, UNIDO, that has implemented JCM projects in the past, will introduce the results of its activities and future developments.

Secondly, regarding adaptation, this seminar also shows that Japan’s technology can contribute to adaptation in developing countries through introduction digital platforms that are used to deal with actual disasters.

In the latter part of this seminar, cases of international transfer and technology development that contribute to mitigation and adaptation will be presented, followed by the discussion on how Japan can internationally contribute to solving climate change issues through technology transfer.
