Local decarbonization to the global.

Toward carbon neutrality by 2050

The lives of each citizen come together to form a region, and the regions come together to form a city. Cities come together to form a country. Together, the national government and local governments will walk the path of carbon neutrality and transform "regions" and "lifestyles" into a decarbonized form. Japan will lead the world in building a decarbonized and recycling-oriented society (circular economy) by promoting diverse and multilayered initiatives that are "rooted in daily life" and are based on "cities and regions.
