Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite-2 "IBUKI-2" (GOSAT-2)

Japan successfully launched GHG Observing Satellite "GOSAT-2" on October 2018. Using this satellite, Japan will observe whole-atmosphere CO2 and methane concentrations from space continuously with high accuracy, and will estimate anthropogenic emissions from large city and large-scale emission source, thereby contributing to further enhancing transparency and GHG emission reductions.
