Hydrogen - making low-carbon society possible

A new energy stream, flowing from every region, to help create a low-carbon society. It can be generated regionally, produces no CO2 when used, and can be stored and transported.

Hydrogen can be produced not only from solar power, but also from wind power, hydropower, biogas, and several other renewable energy sources. For example, the Ministry of the Environment has started a demonstration project in Hokkaido to establish the viability of a supply chain with hydrogen produced from a small hydropower plant.

Clean energy generated from solar power can be made into electricity and hydrogen, and transported across time and space.
Come to the Japan Pavilion and take the Hydrogen Energy Journey! In this 3-minute VR experience, you take on the role of energy as it makes its way to our homes.

Conveniently located, available in normal times and in times of emergency. The hydrogen society will continue to grow.
